Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- 2
Cook the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from heat.
- 3
Add Sauce and Cheese
In a baking dish, spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom. Place the cooked chicken breasts on top, then cover with the remaining marinara sauce. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
- 4
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 5
Prepare the Rigatoni
While the chicken is baking, cook rigatoni according to package instructions. Drain and toss with some olive oil and fresh basil.
- 6
Serve
Serve the chicken parm hot, over a bed of rigatoni, garnished with additional fresh basil if desired.
