Brewing Instructions
- 1
Mashing
In a large brew kettle, heat 6 liters of water to 165°F (74°C). Add the pale malt and crystal malt, stirring to combine. Maintain the temperature for 60 minutes.
- 2
Boiling
After mashing, bring the wort to a boil. Add the bittering hops and boil for 60 minutes. 15 minutes before the end of the boil, add the aroma hops.
- 3
Cooling
Once the boiling is complete, cool the wort rapidly using a wort chiller or an ice bath until it reaches around 70°F (21°C).
- 4
Fermentation
Transfer the cooled wort to a sanitized fermentation vessel. Pitch the yeast and seal the vessel with an airlock. Allow it to ferment for 1-2 weeks, or until fermentation activity has ceased.
- 5
Bottling
After fermentation, dissolve the priming sugar in a small amount of boiling water and add it to the fermentation vessel. Transfer the beer into bottles, seal them, and let them carbonate for about 1-2 weeks.
