Method
For the Chicken Tenders
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breast into strips, about 1 inch wide.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour mixed with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder, one with beaten eggs, and one with bread crumbs.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dredge each chicken strip in the flour mixture, dip it in the beaten eggs, then coat it with bread crumbs. Ensure each piece is evenly coated.
- 4
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat 2 cups of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded chicken strips in batches, frying for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
For the Fries
- 5
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
- 6
Fry the Potatoes
In a separate pot or deep fryer, heat 2 cups of vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Once hot, add the potato strips in batches and fry for about 5-7 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 7
Season the Fries
While the fries are still hot, sprinkle them with salt and black pepper to taste.
