Coffee Base

Sweetened Condensed Milk Mixture

Spices (optional)

Method

Prepare Coffee

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a kettle, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

  2. 2

    Brew Coffee

Once the water is boiling, add 1 cup of Thai coffee grounds to a coffee filter or a French press. Pour the boiling water over the coffee grounds and let it steep for about 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Strain Coffee

If using a coffee filter, allow the coffee to drip into a pot. If using a French press, press down the plunger to separate the grounds from the brewed coffee.

Prepare Sweetened Condensed Milk Mixture

  1. 4

    Mix Milks

In a separate bowl or pitcher, combine 1 cup of sweetened condensed milk and 1 cup of evaporated milk.

  2. 5

    Add Sugar

Stir in 2 tablespoons of sugar into the milk mixture until fully dissolved.

Combine and Serve

  1. 6

    Mix Coffee and Milk Mixture

Pour the brewed coffee into the milk mixture and stir well to combine.

  2. 7

    Add Spices (Optional)

If desired, add whole cardamom pods and a cinnamon stick for extra flavor. Let it sit for a few minutes to infuse the flavors.

  3. 8

    Serve

Serve hot in cups or over ice for a refreshing iced Thai coffee.
