Butter Chicken Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

1

Marinate the Chicken

In a bowl, combine the boneless chicken thighs, yogurt, tandoori masala, and ginger-garlic paste. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight in the refrigerator for best results.

2

Cook the Chicken

In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until fully cooked and slightly charred, about 8-10 minutes. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.

3

Prepare the Sauce

In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and sauté the chopped onion until golden brown. Add the pureed tomatoes and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4

Combine Chicken and Sauce

Once the tomato mixture is thickened, add the cooked chicken back into the skillet. Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and cayenne pepper to taste. Simmer for another 5-10 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.

5

Garnish and Serve

Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan.
