Mini Carne Asada Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions for Mini Carne Asada

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Add the flank steak, ensuring it is well coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Plantains

Peel the sweet plantains and slice them diagonally into 1-inch pieces. Heat a skillet over medium heat, add a tablespoon of olive oil, and fry the plantain slices until golden brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Dish

On a plate, serve a portion of cooked rice, a scoop of refried beans, and a few slices of grilled steak. Arrange the fried plantains on the side and sprinkle with chopped cilantro.
