Method

Preparation of Ingredients

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

If not already cooked, grill or bake the chicken breasts until fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F). Allow to cool, then shred with two forks.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Beans

Open the can of black beans, drain, and rinse them under cold water to remove excess sodium.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Vegetables

Slice the jalapeños, dice the tomatoes, and chop the green onions and cilantro.

Assembling the Nachos

  1. 4

    Layer the Chips

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). On a large baking sheet, spread out the corn tortilla chips in an even layer.

  2. 5

    Add Chicken and Beans

Evenly distribute the shredded chicken and black beans over the tortilla chips.

  3. 6

    Season the Nachos

Sprinkle the ground cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper over the chicken and beans.

  4. 7

    Add Cheese and Jalapeños

Generously sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top and add the sliced jalapeños.

Baking

  1. 8

    Bake the Nachos

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serving

  1. 9

    Add Toppings

Remove the nachos from the oven and top with sour cream, guacamole, diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro, and green onions as desired.

  2. 10

    Serve Immediately

Serve the nachos hot and enjoy with your favorite dipping sauces!
