Huevos Rancheros Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ranchera Sauce

If using homemade ranchera sauce, prepare it according to your recipe. If using store-bought, heat it in a saucepan over medium heat until warm.

  2. 2

    Cook the Eggs

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny, about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. 3

    Warm the Tortillas

While the eggs are cooking, warm the corn tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave until pliable.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Dish

Place two tortillas on each plate. Spoon rice and black beans on the side. Carefully place two eggs on top of each tortilla and generously pour ranchera sauce over the eggs. Garnish with fresh cilantro.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve immediately and enjoy your Huevos Rancheros!
