Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Beef Burrito
In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Add ground beef, chili powder, and salt. Cook until beef is browned. Place a portion of the beef mixture in a tortilla, sprinkle with cheese, and roll it up. Set aside.
- 2
Make the Enchilada
Pour a small amount of enchilada sauce in a baking dish. Take another tortilla, fill it with the beef mixture and a bit more cheese, roll it up, and place it seam-side down in the baking dish. Repeat until all tortillas are filled and placed in the dish. Cover the enchiladas with remaining sauce and sprinkle cheese on top.
- 3
Prepare the Tamale Dough
In a bowl, mix corn masa flour, salt, and chicken broth until a soft dough forms. Take a small portion of the dough, flatten it, and place a little beef filling in the center. Wrap the dough around the filling to form a tamale. Repeat for remaining dough.
- 4
Steam the Tamales
Place tamales upright in a steamer basket and steam for about 45 minutes until the masa is firm.
- 5
Bake Enchiladas
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the enchiladas for about 20 minutes until heated through and cheese is melted.
- 6
Serve
Serve the beef burrito, enchilada, and tamale on a plate. Garnish with sour cream and cilantro.
