Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, mix olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the flank steak and marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight in the refrigerator.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill the steak for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.

  3. 3

    Rest and Slice

Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes. Slice the steak thinly against the grain.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Salad

In a serving bowl, combine shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes. Top with guacamole.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the sliced carne asada with the guacamole salad, cooked rice, black beans, and warm flour tortillas.
