Preparation
- 1
Chill the Glass
Begin by chilling your cocktail glass. You can do this by filling it with ice water and setting it aside while you prepare the drink.
- 2
Mix the Ingredients
In a mixing glass, combine 2 oz of Whisky Del Bac, 1 oz of sweet vermouth, 2 dashes of Angostura bitters, and 0.5 tsp of agave syrup. Make sure to measure accurately for the best flavor.
- 3
Add Ice
Fill the mixing glass with about 1 cup of ice. The ice will help chill and dilute the drink as you mix.
- 4
Stir the Mixture
Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds. This helps to chill the drink and combine the flavors without over-diluting.
- 5
Strain into Glass
Remove the ice water from the chilled cocktail glass. Using a strainer, pour the stirred mixture into the glass. This ensures a smooth pour without any ice.
- 6
Garnish the Drink
Garnish your drink with a twist of orange peel over the top to release its oils, and place a maraschino cherry on the rim for an added touch.
