Method

Pastries

1

Preheat the oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2

Mix dry ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

3

Add wet ingredients

Cut the unsalted butter into small cubes and add it to the dry ingredients. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

4

Combine mixture

In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and vanilla extract. Gradually add this mixture to the flour mixture, stirring until just combined.

5

Shape and bake

Spoon the batter into a greased muffin tin, filling each cup about 3/4 full. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.

Coffee Bar

6

Brew the coffee

In a coffee maker, add the coffee grounds and pour in 4 cups of water. Brew according to the coffee maker’s instructions.

7

Steam the milk

In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until steaming but not boiling. If you have a milk frother, use it to froth the milk for a creamier texture.

8

Serve

Pour brewed coffee into mugs and add steamed milk. Sweeten with sugar if desired.

9

Optional hot chocolate

For hot chocolate, mix cocoa powder with a bit of hot water to create a paste, then stir in steamed milk and sweeten to taste.

Seasonal Fruit

10

Prepare the fruit

Wash the strawberries and blueberries under cool water. Slice the banana into rounds.

11

Serve

Arrange the fruits on a serving platter or individual cups for easy serving.
