Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, chopped basil, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Lasagna Sheets

Lay out the fresh lasagna sheets on a clean surface. Spread a thin layer of the cheese filling over each sheet, leaving a small border around the edges.

  3. 3

    Roll the Lasagna Sheets

Starting from one end, carefully roll the lasagna sheet tightly into a log. Repeat with all sheets.

  4. 4

    Prepare for Baking

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of tomato sauce on the bottom.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Rotolo

Place the rolled lasagna logs seam side down in the baking dish. Pour the remaining tomato sauce over the top of the rolls and drizzle with olive oil.

  6. 6

    Bake

Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the sauce is bubbly and the tops are golden.

  7. 7

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Slice into pieces and serve warm.
