Cooking Instructions
1. Cook the Pasta
In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the mafaldine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.
2. Prepare the Sauce
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
3. Add Crab and Seasoning
Add the blue crab meat and red chili flakes to the skillet. Stir gently and cook for about 3-4 minutes until heated through. Season with salt and black pepper.
4. Combine Pasta with Sauce
Add the cooked mafaldine pasta to the skillet, along with the reserved pasta water and lemon juice. Toss to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes on low heat.
5. Finish with Mint
Remove from heat and stir in the chopped mint leaves. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
6. Serve
Serve immediately, garnished with additional mint if desired.
