For the Panini al Latte

Method

For the Panini

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy. Add the flour, salt, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a dough forms.

  2. 2

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  3. 3

    Shape the Panini

After the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into equal portions. Shape each portion into small oval loaves. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  4. 4

    Second Rise

Cover the shaped loaves with a cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

  5. 5

    Bake the Panini

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the loaves for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Let them cool on a wire rack.
