Cheese Sauce Preparation

4

Melt Butter

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.

5

Make Roux

Once melted, whisk in the flour and cook for about 1-2 minutes to create a roux, stirring constantly.

6

Add Milk

Gradually add the milk, whisking continuously until the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes.

7

Add Cheese and Seasonings

Stir in the cheddar cheese, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and mustard powder until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth.

8

Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

9

Combine Pasta and Sauce

In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained pasta with the cheese sauce, stirring well to coat all the pasta.

10

Transfer the mac and cheese mixture into a greased baking dish.

12

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the topping is golden and crispy.
