Method
Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This helps to get the Brussels sprouts crispy.
- 2
Prepare the Brussels Sprouts
Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged outer leaves. Cut them in half lengthwise.
Cooking
- 3
Toss with Olive Oil and Seasonings
In a large bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss well to coat evenly.
- 4
Arrange on Baking Sheet
Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet, cut side down. This will help them to get crispy.
- 5
Roast in the Oven
Roast the Brussels sprouts in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Toss halfway through for even roasting.
- 6
Add Balsamic Glaze
Remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven and drizzle the balsamic glaze over them while they are still hot. Toss to coat evenly.
Serving
- 7
Garnish (optional)
If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley over the Brussels sprouts before serving.
- 8
Serve
Serve hot as a side dish or appetizer.
