Cooking Instructions
Prepare the Duck
Score the skin of the duck breasts in a crosshatch pattern without cutting through to the meat. Season both sides with salt, black pepper, and thyme.
Sear the Duck
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Place the duck breasts skin-side down in the skillet and cook for about 6-8 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden brown. Flip the duck breasts and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium-rare. Remove the duck from the skillet and let rest.
Make the Sauce
In the same skillet, drain excess fat, leaving about 1 tablespoon. Add the Grand Marnier, orange juice, honey, and orange zest. Bring to a boil and let it reduce for about 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened.
Serve
Slice the duck breasts and serve them drizzled with the Grand Marnier sauce.
