Method

Omelette Preparation

  1. 1

    Whisk the Eggs

In a mixing bowl, whisk together 3 eggs and 2 tablespoons of milk until well combined. Add salt and black pepper to taste.

  2. 2

    Cook the Vegetables

In a non-stick skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of butter or oil over medium heat. Add 1 cup of diced bell pepper and 1 cup of diced onion. Sauté until the vegetables are tender, about 3-5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add Ham

Stir in 1 cup of diced cooked ham to the skillet and cook for an additional 2 minutes until heated.

  4. 4

    Add Eggs

Pour the whisked egg mixture over the vegetables and ham in the skillet. Allow it to cook for a few minutes without stirring until the edges start to set.

  5. 5

    Add Cheese

Once the edges are set, place 2 slices of American cheese on top of the omelette. Cover the skillet with a lid and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts and the eggs are fully cooked.

Wrap Assembly

  1. 6

    Prepare the Tortilla

Once the omelette is cooked, carefully slide it onto a large tortilla.

  2. 7

    Wrap the Omelette

Fold in the sides of the tortilla and then roll it up from the bottom to the top, encasing the omelette inside.

  3. 8

    Toast the Wrap

In the same skillet, add a little more butter or oil if needed, and place the wrapped omelette seam side down. Toast for about 2 minutes on each side until golden brown.

  4. 9

    Serve

Remove the wrap from the skillet, slice in half if desired, and serve hot.
