Method
Marinade Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until well combined.
- 2
Marinate Chicken
Place the boneless chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it is fully coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
Grilling Chicken
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your charcoal grill to medium-high heat.
- 4
Grill the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the leftover marinade. Place the chicken breasts on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- 5
Rest the Chicken
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Sandwich Assembly
- 6
Assemble the Sandwich
On the bottom half of each sandwich bun, spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise. Layer with lettuce leaves, sliced grilled chicken, tomato slices, and a slice of cheddar cheese.
- 7
Finish the Sandwich
Place the top half of the sandwich bun over the fillings. Press down gently and serve immediately.
