Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the T-Bone steak from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This helps the steak cook evenly.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Pat the steak dry with paper towels. Rub both sides of the steak with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Sprinkle fresh rosemary on both sides.

Cooking the Steak

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or a cast-iron skillet over high heat for about 10 minutes until it’s very hot.

  2. 4

    Cook the Steak

Place the steak on the hot grill or skillet. For medium-rare, cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side. Adjust the time based on your desired level of doneness.

  3. 5

    Rest the Steak

After cooking, transfer the steak to a cutting board and let it rest for at least 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.

Optional Side Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Asparagus

While the steak is resting, prepare the asparagus. Trim the ends of the asparagus and toss with melted butter and lemon juice.

  2. 7

    Sauté the Asparagus

In the same skillet used for the steak, add the asparagus and sauté over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until tender.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve

Slice the T-Bone steak against the grain and serve with sautéed asparagus on the side.
