Method

Prepare the Shrimp

    Boil the Water

    In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt to the boiling water.

    Add the Shrimp

    Once the water is boiling, squeeze the juice of 1 lemon into the pot and then drop in the jumbo shrimp. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

    Cool the Shrimp

    Remove the shrimp from the pot and transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Let them cool for about 5 minutes.

    Peel and Devein

    Once cooled, peel and devein the shrimp, leaving the tails on for presentation.

Make the Cocktail Sauce

    Mix Ingredients

    In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of horseradish, 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon of hot sauce.

    Adjust Seasoning

    Taste the sauce and add salt to taste. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.

Serve

    Plate the Dish

    Arrange the shrimp on a serving platter and serve with the cocktail sauce on the side for dipping.
