Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Whisk the Eggs

In a medium bowl, crack the 3 large eggs. Add 0.5 tsp of salt and 0.25 tsp of black pepper. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

  2. 2

    Choose Your Ingredients

Select any 3 ingredients from the optional ingredients list (e.g., Cheddar Cheese, Spinach, and Mushrooms) and prepare them by chopping or shredding as necessary.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a non-stick skillet, melt 1 tbs of butter over medium heat until it starts to sizzle.

  2. 4

    Cook the Eggs

Pour the whisked egg mixture into the skillet. Let it cook undisturbed for about 1-2 minutes, or until the edges start to set.

  3. 5

    Add the Fillings

Once the edges of the omelette start to set, sprinkle your chosen ingredients evenly over one half of the omelette.

  4. 6

    Fold and Finish Cooking

Using a spatula, carefully fold the omelette in half over the fillings. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until the eggs are fully cooked and the cheese (if used) is melted.

  5. 7

    Serve

Slide the omelette onto a plate and serve immediately, garnished with additional herbs or toppings if desired.
