Prepare the Meat
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. If using chicken, shred it after cooking and set aside.

Prepare the Cheese
In a bowl, combine the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses.

Prepare the Toppings
Slice the jalapeños and chop the green onions. Set aside the sour cream and guacamole.
Assemble the Nachos

Layer the Chips
On a large baking sheet, spread the tortilla chips evenly to cover the surface.

Add the Meat
Evenly distribute the cooked ground beef or shredded chicken over the tortilla chips.

Add the Cheese
Sprinkle the cheese mixture generously over the meat and chips.

Add Jalapeños
Scatter the sliced jalapeños on top of the cheese.
Bake the Nachos

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove the nachos from the oven and top with chopped green onions, sour cream, and guacamole. Serve immediately.
