Pancake Ingredients

Method

Pancake Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Batter

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

  2. 2

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add the buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

  3. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.

  4. 4

    Preheat the Pan

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add a small amount of butter to coat the surface.

  5. 5

    Cook the Pancakes

Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove the pancakes from the skillet and keep warm. Serve with your favorite toppings such as syrup, butter, or fresh fruit.
