Method

Preparation of Crab Dip

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cooked and shredded crab meat, softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, and lemon juice. Mix well using a fork or spatula until smooth.

  2. 2

    Add Seasonings

Add the chopped green onions, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and black pepper to the crab mixture. Stir until all ingredients are well incorporated.

  3. 3

    Chill

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the crab dip for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Assembling Nachos

  1. 4

    Preheat Oven

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. 5

    Prepare Chips

Spread the tricolor tortilla chips evenly on a baking sheet in a single layer.

  3. 6

    Add Crab Dip

Spoon the chilled crab dip evenly over the tortilla chips.

  4. 7

    Add Cheese

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese generously over the crab dip.

  5. 8

    Bake Nachos

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serving

  1. 9

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes. Serve the crab nachos hot, alongside bowls of salsa and extra sour cream.
