Toasted Bread
Method
Crab Dip Preparation
- 1
Mix the Base
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Use a hand mixer or a spatula to blend until smooth and creamy.
- 2
Add Flavorings
Add garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Mix until well combined.
- 3
Fold in Crab Meat
Gently fold in the crab meat and half the shredded cheddar cheese until evenly incorporated. Be careful not to break up the crab meat too much.
- 4
Transfer to Baking Dish
Transfer the crab dip mixture to a baking dish and spread it evenly.
- 5
Top with Cheese
Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese on top of the crab dip.
Baking the Dip
- 6
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- 7
Bake the Dip
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and the cheese is melted and golden.
Toasting the Bread
- 8
Prepare the Bread
While the dip is baking, slice the French baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices.
- 9
Garlic Oil Mixture
In a small bowl, mix the olive oil and minced garlic together.
- 10
Toast the Bread
Brush each slice of baguette with the garlic oil mixture and arrange them on a baking sheet. Place them in the oven (or under the broiler) for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
Serving
- 11
Serve Hot
Once the crab dip is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly. Serve warm with the toasted bread for dipping.
