Pancake Preparation

Make the Pancake Batter
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

Add Wet Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and vanilla extract. Melt the unsalted butter and add it to the wet mixture. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and stir until just mixed.

Prepare the Cinnamon Filling
In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and melted unsalted butter until a paste forms.
Cooking the Pancakes

Cook the Pancakes
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Swirl about a teaspoon of the cinnamon filling on top of the pancake batter before it sets. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown on the other side.

Make the Cream Cheese Topping
In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk. Mix until well combined and creamy.
Assembly

Serve the Pancakes
Stack the pancakes on a plate, then generously drizzle the cream cheese topping over the top. Finish with a drizzle of caramel sauce. Serve warm.
