Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.

Combine Ingredients
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, and gently stir until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Add Chocolate Chips
Fold in the chocolate chips gently into the batter.

Preheat the Pan
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. You may lightly grease the surface with butter or cooking spray.

Cook Pancakes
Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes or until golden brown.

Continue with the remaining batter, adjusting the heat as necessary to prevent burning.

Serve the pancakes warm, topped with whipped cream and additional chocolate chips if desired.
