Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Egg Mixture

In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until well combined.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Toppings

In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar and ground cinnamon together. Set aside.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Dip the Bread

Dip each slice of challah bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well coated. Allow any excess to drip off.

  2. 4

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat until bubbly.

  3. 5

    Cook the French Toast

Place the soaked challah slices in the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.

  4. 6

    Serve

Once cooked, remove the French toast from the skillet and dust with the prepared powdered sugar and cinnamon mixture. Serve warm.
