Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until well blended.

Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Preheat Waffle Iron
Preheat your Belgian waffle maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Lightly grease the waffle iron with cooking spray or a small amount of oil. Pour an appropriate amount of batter onto the preheated waffle iron (usually about 3/4 cup, but refer to your waffle maker's instructions). Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crispy, typically 4-5 minutes.
