Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until well blended.

  2. 2

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth and fully combined.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Preheat Waffle Iron

Preheat your Belgian waffle maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.

  2. 5

    Cook Waffles

Lightly grease the waffle iron with cooking spray or a small amount of oil. Pour an appropriate amount of batter onto the preheated waffle iron (usually about 3/4 cup, but refer to your waffle maker's instructions). Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crispy, typically 4-5 minutes.

  3. 6

    Serve

Carefully remove the waffle from the iron and serve immediately, topped with maple syrup, whipped cream, and fresh berries as desired.
