Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Squid

In a bowl, combine the cleaned squid rings with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss to coat evenly.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In a shallow dish, combine the all-purpose flour and cornstarch. In a separate bowl, have the beaten eggs ready.

  3. 3

    Bread the Squid

Dip each squid ring first into the flour mixture, then into the beaten eggs, and back into the flour mixture to coat thoroughly.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).

  5. 5

    Fry the Squid

Fry the coated squid rings in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  6. 6

    Drain and Serve

Remove the fried squid from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
