Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, ground cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken breasts and coat them well with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to 2 hours for more flavor).

Cook the Chicken
Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill or cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes.

Build the Sandwich
On the bottom half of each burger bun, place a lettuce leaf. Add a slice of cooked chicken, top with a slice of pepper jack cheese, a few slices of avocado, a slice of tomato, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro. Spread sour cream on the top half of the bun and drizzle hot sauce over the ingredients, if desired. Close the sandwich with the top half of the bun.
