Method
Crab Cake Preparation
- 1
Mix Crab Cake Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the lump crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, chopped parsley, beaten egg, bread crumbs, salt, and black pepper. Gently mix until just combined; be careful not to break up the crab meat too much.
- 2
Form Crab Cakes
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, about 3/4 inch thick.
- 3
Cook Crab Cakes
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Cook the crab cakes for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
Chipotle Aioli Preparation
- 4
Combine Aioli Ingredients
In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, minced chipotle peppers, lime juice, minced garlic, and salt until smooth and well combined.
Sandwich Assembly
- 5
Prepare the Buns
Slice the brioche buns in half and lightly toast them, if desired.
- 6
Assemble the Sandwich
Spread a generous amount of chipotle aioli on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place a crab cake on top, followed by a handful of arugula and a slice of tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.
