Chicken Tenders

Method

Prepare Chicken Tenders

  1. 1

    Slice the Chicken

Cut the chicken breast into strips about 1 inch wide.

  2. 2

    Prepare Dredging Stations

Set up three bowls: one with flour seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika; another with beaten eggs; and the last with breadcrumbs.

Fry Chicken Tenders

  1. 3

    Heat Oil

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 4

    Dredge Chicken

Dip each chicken strip first in the seasoned flour, then in the egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.

  3. 5

    Fry Tenders

Carefully place the breaded chicken strips in the hot oil, frying them in batches for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Use a thermometer to ensure they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

  4. 6

    Drain

Remove the chicken tenders from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Prepare BBQ Sauce

  1. 7

    Mix Ingredients

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 8

    Simmer

Cook the sauce for about 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.

Serve

  1. 9

    Plate Tenders

Serve the crispy chicken tenders hot with the BBQ sauce on the side for dipping.
