Method

Prepare Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a round patty, about ¾ inch thick.

Cook the Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until they reach your desired doneness.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cover with a lid to help melt the cheese.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

  2. 7

    Add Toppings

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by a cooked cheeseburger patty, a slice of tomato (sliced), and your preferred condiments (ketchup and mustard).

  3. 8

    Complete the Burger

Top with the other half of the bun and press down gently to secure the toppings.
