Method
To Prepare the Spiced Tofu Scramble
2. Crumble the Tofu
Crumble the firm tofu into the skillet and mix well with the sautéed vegetables.
3. Add Spices
Stir in turmeric, cumin, red chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Finish with Cilantro
Remove from heat and stir in fresh cilantro. Set aside.
To Make the Vegan Buns
2. Let the Dough Rise
Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
3. Shape the Buns
Punch down the dough, divide it into equal portions, and shape them into buns. Place on a baking sheet.
4. Bake the Buns
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the buns for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
To Grill the Tomatoes
To Serve
1. Assemble the Dish
Serve the spiced tofu scramble on a plate alongside the freshly baked vegan buns and grilled tomatoes.
