A discreet cocktail, named for the notorious Assistant Commissioner of Police of Bombay. Fresh orange and lemon juice conceal vodka, jaggery and a furtive dash of orange bitters, on ice.

Cocktail Preparation

Prepare the Jaggery Syrup

If you don't have jaggery syrup ready, dissolve equal parts of jaggery and water over low heat until fully combined. Allow it to cool.

In a cocktail shaker, add ice cubes.

Pour in the vodka, fresh orange juice, fresh lemon juice, and jaggery syrup over the ice.

Add a couple of dashes of orange bitters to the shaker.

Shake well until the mixture is chilled.

Strain the cocktail into an ice-filled rocks glass.

Garnish with an orange slice and a lemon twist.

Serve immediately and enjoy your Dhoble cocktail!
