Chole Preparation

    Saute the Base

    Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, and sauté for another minute.

    Cook the Tomatoes

    Add pureed tomato to the pan. Cook until the oil separates from the mixture. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Stir to combine.

    Add Chickpeas

    Add the cooked chickpeas to the tomato mixture. Pour in a little water if needed to adjust the consistency. Let it simmer for 10-15 minutes.

    Finish with Spices

    Add garam masala and fresh coriander leaves. Mix well and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
