Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Marinate the Lamb Chops

In a large bowl, combine the mashed raw papaya, yoghurt, minced garlic, grated ginger, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.

  2. 2

    Coat the Lamb

Add the lamb chops to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight to allow the flavors to penetrate.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill

On the day of cooking, preheat your grill to high heat.

  4. 4

    Grill the Lamb Chops

Remove the lamb chops from the marinade, letting any excess marinade drip off. Brush the grill grates with olive oil to prevent sticking.

  5. 5

    Cook to Desired Doneness

Grill the lamb chops for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer if you prefer them more done. Use a meat thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) for medium-rare.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove the lamb chops from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your charred lamb chops with your favorite sides.
