Arabica beans from a single forest estate on the misty hilltops of Chikmagalur in Karnataka - where Sufi mystic, Baba Budan, sowed the smuggled seeds of India's first coffee in 1670. Mingled with Brazilian Minas. Smooth notes of milk chocolate, orange and jaggery.

    Grind the coffee

    Coarsely grind the Arabica and Brazilian Minas coffee beans together.

    Boil water

    In a kettle, bring 500 ml of water to a boil.

    Brew coffee

    Add the ground coffee to a French press or coffee maker. Pour the boiling water over the coffee grounds and let it steep for 4-5 minutes.

    Prepare the milk

    In a small saucepan, heat the milk on low heat until steaming, but do not boil.

    Add sweetener

    Stir in the jaggery (or brown sugar) into the steaming milk until fully dissolved.

    Combine and serve

    Pour the brewed coffee into a cup, add the sweetened milk, and top with a sprinkle of orange zest for added aroma.
