Cooking Instructions
1. Prepare the Pork
Trim excess fat from the pork shoulder and cut it into large chunks.
2. Season the Pork
In a bowl, mix smoked paprika, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Rub the mixture all over the pork pieces.
3. Cook the Pork
Place the pork in a slow cooker with chopped onion and garlic. Add barbecue sauce and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shreds.
4. Shred the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker to mix with the sauce.
