Boil the Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium heat.

Brew the Tea
Once the water is boiling, add 4 teaspoons of tea leaves (or tea bags) to the pot. Remove from heat and let steep for 5 minutes.

Strain the Tea
After steeping, strain the tea into a large pitcher to remove the leaves or bags.

Sweeten the Tea
Add 1 cup of sugar to the hot tea and stir until completely dissolved.

Add Lemon Juice
Stir in 0.5 cups of fresh lemon juice into the sweetened tea.

Chill the Tea
Allow the tea to cool at room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.

Prepare Garnishes
While the tea is chilling, prepare the garnishes by washing the mint leaves and slicing the lemon.

Serve
Pour the chilled tea into glasses over ice, and garnish with fresh mint leaves and lemon slices.
