Preparation Directions

1

Prepare the Bread

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the French bread into 1-inch cubes and place them in a large bowl.

2

Mix the Custard

In another bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until smooth.

3

Combine and Soak

Pour the custard mixture over the bread cubes, making sure all the bread is well coated. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes to soak.

4

Bake the Pudding

Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and pour the soaked bread mixture into it. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

5

Prepare the Caramel Sauce

While the bread pudding is baking, prepare the caramel sauce by melting 1 cup of granulated sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until it becomes a deep amber color. Remove from heat and slowly whisk in 1/2 cup of heavy cream until smooth.

6

Serve

Once the bread pudding is done, let it cool for a few minutes. Serve warm, drizzled with the house-made caramel sauce.
