Fritay Fish Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fish

Clean and scale the fish thoroughly. Make several diagonal cuts on each side of the fish to allow for better cooking.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Fish

In a bowl, mix the lime juice, minced garlic, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Rub this mixture all over the fish, ensuring it gets into the cuts. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking.

  4. 4

    Dust and Fry the Fish

Lightly dust the marinated fish with flour. Carefully place the fish in the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy, approximately 5-7 minutes per side, depending on thickness.

  5. 5

    Drain and Serve

Once cooked, remove the fish from the oil and place it on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
