Method

Meatloaf Preparation

1

Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2

Sauté Vegetables

In a skillet over medium heat, add a tablespoon of oil and sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until soft and fragrant, about 5 minutes. Add the chopped mushrooms and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.

3

Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, sautéed vegetables, breadcrumbs, beaten eggs, port wine demi-glace, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

4

Shape the Meatloaf

Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan or shape it into a loaf on a lined baking sheet.

5

Bake the Meatloaf

Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Mashed Potatoes Preparation

6

Cook the Potatoes

In a large pot, add the cubed potatoes and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

7

Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Buttered Broccoli Preparation

8

Steam the Broccoli

In a pot with a steamer basket, fill with water and bring to a boil. Add the broccoli florets and steam for about 4-5 minutes until bright green and tender.

9

Add Butter and Season

Remove the broccoli from the steamer and toss with butter and salt to taste.
