Method
Crepe Preparation
- 1
Make the Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1.5 cups of milk, 2 eggs, 1 tsp of vanilla extract, and 0.5 tsp of salt. Whisk together until smooth and well combined.
- 2
Add Butter
Stir in 2 tablespoons of melted butter into the batter until fully incorporated.
- 3
Rest the Batter
Let the batter rest for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator. This helps to create a smoother texture.
Cooking Crepes
- 4
Preheat the Pan
Heat a non-stick skillet or crepe pan over medium heat. Lightly grease with a small amount of butter.
- 5
Cook the Crepes
Pour about 1/4 cup of the batter into the pan, swirling it to cover the bottom evenly. Cook for about 1-2 minutes or until the edges start to lift and the bottom is lightly golden.
- 6
Flip the Crepe
Using a spatula, carefully flip the crepe and cook for another 1 minute until the other side is golden. Transfer the cooked crepe to a plate and repeat with the remaining batter.
Assembling the Crepes
- 7
Spread Nutella
Take a cooked crepe and spread about 2 tablespoons of Nutella over one half of the crepe.
- 8
Add Fruit
Place a few slices of strawberries and banana on top of the Nutella.
- 9
Fold the Crepe
Fold the crepe in half over the filling, then fold it in half again to create a triangle.
- 10
Serve and Garnish
Optionally, dust with powdered sugar and top with whipped cream before serving.
