Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

In a large bowl, combine the Black Angus ground chuck with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently to combine, being careful not to overwork the meat. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form into patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Buns and Toppings

While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster. Slice the tomato and wash the lettuce.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Place the lettuce, the cooked patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, pickles, and ketchup on top. Cover with the top half of the bun.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the Black Angus burgers with a side of fries.
