Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Meat Sauce

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.

  2. 2

    Season the Meat

Stir in tomato sauce, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Cheese Mixture

In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Mix until smooth.

  4. 4

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  5. 5

    Layer the Lasagna

In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom. Place 4 lasagna noodles over the sauce. Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, followed by a layer of meat sauce, and then a layer of mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles and meat sauce on top.

  6. 6

    Add Final Toppings

Sprinkle remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top layer.

  7. 7

    Bake

Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden.

  8. 8

    Cool and Serve

Let the lasagna cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
