Fried Mozzarella Ingredients
Method
Fried Mozzarella Directions
- 1
Prepare the Mozzarella
Cut the fresh mozzarella cheese into 1-inch thick slices.
- 2
Set Up the Breading Station
In three separate shallow dishes, place flour in the first, beaten eggs in the second, and breadcrumbs mixed with salt and pepper in the third.
- 3
Bread the Cheese
Take each mozzarella slice, dredge it in flour, dip it in the beaten eggs, and then coat it with breadcrumbs. Place the breaded mozzarella on a plate.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Mozzarella
Carefully add the breaded mozzarella slices to the hot oil, frying them in batches if needed. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
- 6
Drain and Serve
Remove the fried mozzarella from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping.
